How many times have we felt alone, sad, and just not ourselves, but when asked "how are you," we put on our best "smile" and say, "I am fine." Sometimes it is easier to fake being happy then to explain being sad.
Roberta... that has been me for years. I have always been the one running the soccer team, at all the PTA meetings, holding down one or two jobs, going to school and still smiling like everything was ok. Deep down it wasn't. I have struggled for years with my own depressive issues. I think it is a wonderful thing for us to talk about. To remove the mask and to bring some awareness to this issue. This is a great blog and it really hit home for me,
My apologies, I missed you comment. This may sound strange but Depression is my passion. I have suffered from it for so long, and from speaking out learned, I am not the only one on this journey. As mothers, we take on so much responsibilities that we forget to think about ourselves. I hope you will continue to be a part of my page. I am going to keep this going and see where this journey takes me.
